Write for AgileConnection

Hi everyone, I am Johanna Rothman, the technical editor for AgileConnection.com.

AgileConnection is a community. So I am looking for content contributions from you, our readers, to help create that community. If you have a paper, story, or even an idea that you would like to share, please email me at jr at jrothman dot com and let's start. Or, if you prefer, click the link below to submit your idea directly from the website.

Here’s How It Works
Tell a Story: Our readers love articles that tell a compelling story! Tell us a story of success or failure. Sure, change the names to protect the innocent or guilty. If you're not sure how to do that, I will work with you to help. Tell us how things were terrible at the beginning of the project. Tell us what happened when you used agile or lean approaches—if you have data or metrics, even better.

Maybe you have a story about how you used agile or lean in an unusual way. Our readers love that, too. If you have a story, our readers will want to read it. Stories help our readers engage with your material and with you.

Articles that run around 1,000 words are perfect. However, if they are longer or shorter I will work with you to get them published.

You submit an abstract or story idea, and I review it to make sure it’s a good fit for our audience. I will work with you to make sure you are saying what you want to say, and I’ll help you craft your story into something you can be proud of. Once we're done, the story goes to copy editing, where our editors edit your prose for grammar, style, and flow.

Then we add your story to the publishing schedule. Your article will be spotlighted in a weekly AgileConnection To Go newsletter, so expect some great exposure.
