This paper discusses a practical case study implemented at MindTree that details some of the best practices for defining and implementing metrics. The author also reviews the business benefits realized from a good metrics program.
Mr. Srinivasa N (Srini) is an Associate Director—Quality and heads the Quality Function for the Software Process Engineering business unit at MindTree. Srini has about 17 years experience in the field of quality – both in manufacturing (6 years) as well as in IT (11 years). Prior to MindTree, Srini has worked in organizations such as Dell and Cognizant Technologies. At Cognizant, Srini was part of team that successfully achieved CMMi Level 5 maturity. At MindTree, Srini's responsibilities include driving improvement initiatives in the business unit, Conceptual thinking and driving Mindset changes at different levels of people, process consulting to project teams, audits, educating Project and Program Managers as well as external consulting.
